What is SMJ Marketplace?
SMJ Marketplace is India’s dedicated used vehicle marketplace, operated by SMJ Automobiles. It connects individual buyers and sellers, dealers, transporters, and fleet owners to buy and sell cars, trucks, buses, and two-wheelers — directly, without brokers.
Is it free to use SMJ Marketplace?
Yes, completely. Posting listings is 100% free. There are no listing fees, subscription charges, or commissions — for individuals or dealers.
Do I need an account to browse listings?
You can browse listings without an account. However, to view seller contact details, post a listing, or save favourites, you need to register. Registration is free and takes under 2 minutes.
📋 Listings
How many listings can I post?
Individual users can post up to 5 active vehicle listings. Dealer accounts can post up to 15 listings. All listings are free.
What vehicles can I list on SMJ?
SMJ supports four categories: Cars (hatchback, sedan, SUV), Trucks and commercial vehicles, Buses (mini, standard, AC), and Two-Wheelers (bikes and scooters).
How long does a listing stay active?
Listings remain active until you mark them as sold or delete them. You can edit your listing anytime from your dashboard.
🛒 Buying
How do I contact a seller?
When you view a listing, the seller’s phone number is shown directly. There is no call masking, no platform routing, and no payment required to unlock contact.
How do I know a listing is genuine?
Always inspect the vehicle physically before any payment. Dealer listings include verified business details — showroom name, location, GST, and photos — to help you identify credible sellers.
💰 Selling
How do I post a listing?
Register or log in → click “Post Your Ad” → select vehicle type → fill in details (brand, model, year, price, condition) → add photos → submit. Your listing goes live immediately.
Does SMJ take any commission on sales?
No. SMJ does not take any commission. All transactions happen directly between buyer and seller.
🏢 Dealers
What is a Dealer account?
Dealer accounts are designed for businesses, showrooms, and fleet operators. They can post up to 15 listings and display their business name, office location, photos, GST details, and visiting card.
How do I register as a dealer?
Click “Register” and select “Dealer / Business” account type. Fill in your business details and verify your email. Your dealer profile is then live.
👤 Account
How do I delete my account?
Go to your dashboard settings and select “Delete Account”. Your data and listings will be removed within 30 days. Alternatively, email support@smjautomobiles.com for assistance.
🛡️ Safety
How do I avoid fraud?
Always inspect the vehicle physically before any payment. Never pay an advance without verifying the vehicle and seller identity in person. SMJ will never ask for your password.
